Cookies and similar technologies

This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies this website uses, what each one does and how you can control them.

Last updated 2 October 2026.

Your privacy choices

The Privacy choices control in the footer lets you review or change your preferences. We store only your Statistics and Marketing choices, the preference version and the date you saved them in this browser under sls.privacy.v1 for up to 180 days. This record is not sent to an analytics provider. If your browser cannot save it, your choice applies only to the current page session. Clearing site data removes the record. Optional tools remain off unless you choose the relevant category.

Security and enquiry protection

When you reach the final step of the property-enquiry form, Cloudflare Turnstile runs a security check to help distinguish genuine enquiries from automated abuse. It processes browser and device signals needed for that security function. Cloudflare states that Turnstile does not read or transmit the information entered in the form.

Technology that is strictly necessary to provide or secure a service you request does not need your consent, but we still explain it here.

Statistics (optional, off unless you choose it)

If you choose Statistics, we use three tools to understand how the site is used and where it could be better. Nothing loads until you choose, and none of them receives your name, contact details, property details or message.

Google Analytics (Google) counts visits, which pages and enquiry steps are used, and how many enquiries are sent. Google processes this data on our behalf. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) shows recordings and heatmaps of how pages are used, so we can see where a page or the enquiry form is confusing. Anything typed into our forms is hidden in recordings. Microsoft provides Clarity as an independent controller. Its terms allow it to use Clarity data for its own purposes, including to provide Microsoft Advertising, under the Microsoft Privacy Statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. We always tell Clarity not to use advertising storage, and Microsoft states that Clarity then shares no data with Microsoft Advertising.

Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare) gives us overall visit counts and page speed. It uses no cookies or browser storage. Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf.

We also keep a small record in your browser, sls.attribution.v1, of the first and most recent campaign or website that brought you here, for up to 180 days. If you send an enquiry, it is included so we can see which channels bring enquiries. It is used for reporting only.

Cookies and storage these tools use

_ga and _ga_LNS7QMSP33 are Google Analytics cookies. They distinguish visitors and keep track of each visit, for up to 2 years.

_clck and _clsk are Microsoft Clarity cookies. They recognise a returning browser for up to 1 year and join page views into one recording for up to 1 day. Clarity also keeps a working value, _cltk, in this tab's storage until the tab is closed.

CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID and SM are cookies Microsoft may set on its own clarity.ms domain, as described in Microsoft's Clarity cookie list.

sls.attribution.v1 is a record this website keeps in your browser for up to 180 days, as described above. Some browsers shorten cookie lifetimes.

How long the tools keep data

Google Analytics keeps detailed event data for 2 months. Microsoft Clarity keeps recordings for 30 days, except recordings we mark as favourites and a random sample, which Microsoft keeps for up to 9 months. Cloudflare Web Analytics keeps visit statistics for 6 months.

Marketing

We do not currently use any advertising or marketing tools. If we start, we will describe them here and ask you again.

Changing your mind

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Privacy choices in the footer. When you withdraw, we stop the tools straight away, block any further contact with them, delete their cookies and our browser record, and refresh the page as soon as you are not part-way through an enquiry.

Managing browser data

You can use your browser settings to inspect, block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking technology required for the security check may prevent the enquiry form from being submitted; you can contact us directly at info@silverliningstays.com instead.
